How to change streaming or recording resolution in OBS Studio? In this tutorial, I show you how to change the output resolution in OBS. This works great when recording your screen or live streaming on Twitch, Mixer, YouTube, or Facebook. Changing the video output resolution in OBS studio is extremely easy and can be done in less than 2 minutes.
OBS Studio can be configured to record or stream in many different resolutions including 4K, 1080 HD, and 720 HD. Changing the resolution on streams to Twitch or YouTube can help fix bandwidth issues and improve the quality of your live stream.

Can I record in 1440P on an 1080P monitor?
Hi I'm streaming to twitch and its default is 1080p however it won't change to anything else in twitch anyone help? 🙂
Can someone please help. No matter what resolution size I choose, it only shows the upper left 25% of my screen. Can't seem to fix it

What if i'm the one watching a live stream and i go to video quality and all of a sudden i only have 2 options either Auto or 900p60 (source) whereas before i had many other options all the way down to 160p. How do i fix this problem ??

Solid! Thank you for getting straight to the point and making it easy to follow.
Help ! please
I am very new to OBS and wanted to screen record using 1920 x 1080 resolution
My monitor is set to 1280 x 1024 which is showing as the recommended setting (it's not a new monitor)
How do I get the recording to fill my screen at 1080 please ?
When I type in 1280×1024 in the base canvas size the only option for output is 1280×720. This works as it's still 16:9 and I was happy, but only realised today when I wanted to add text to my recording and discovered the reduced size. I'd assumed everything was 1080.
