Not the Pleiku I saw during the war. WoW>>.
Thanks for sharing this video, I was born there during the war and left shortly after so this is my 1st vision of this place.
My hometown!! I visited it for the first time since 2003, I was 8 at the time. Crazy to see how everything is more developed, not just Pleiku but Vietnam as a whole 🇻🇳
Welcome to my city 🙂
Pleiku is my hometown
Vui Minh da dang ky ban va mong ban ung ho minh dang ky lai nhe
I didn't know the California weather pattern but I agree, nights in Pleiku really cooled down compared to the day time, and even the day time wasn't too bad.
Why does say Dalat like "dalak"? I am guessing it is a dialect thing, if so, which dialect?
I was on Tropo Hill (Signal Corps) just north of the Pleiku Airbase from Aug68 to Dec68, with the 43rd Signal Battalion Headquarters Detachment. Then I transferred to Nha Trang at 21st Signal Group's Aviation Detachment. It's nice to see that Pleiku cleaned up their city and are expanding the City upwards and across the plains as well. It's amazing what can be done with 50 years of peaceful, harmonious living. Your video is well done, and thank you for sharing it on YouTube.
I was in an Artillery officer at Artillery Hill in 1968 , they tore the French statue down. Now they have different problems , China.
I was at Camp Holloway 4-65 to 4-66, just bit down highway 19 east of town. Pleiku has changed!!

LOOKING FROM CARABU AIRPLANE IN THE AIR AROUND PLEIKE AIRPORT ALL I COULD SEE WERE BOMB HOLES FROM B 52 DROPPED IN SUMMER 1972
Wow. what a difference from 1066-67. can't believe its the same town
Hey Kyle, I was born there 1976 and left Vietnam 1990, 1:30 You are on Tran Phu and 2:18 on your right at the intersection is Dup Kinh used to be a famous and crowded theater. Thanks for the video.
this place is shit.
I can't understand what u say clearly but through the video, i can see a beautiful pleiku…and i am going to go to pleiku this afternoon ^^
I was in the Pleiku area in 1967. It certainly didn't look like this back then. It is truly a modern city now.
The last time I was in Pleiku, was 1966, little more than a village with dirt road's. I'll be returning now that I'm retired on vacation in just a few months I can't wait to see this.
It was little more than a village in 1969. Are the Montegnards still a factor in the area or have they been assimilated into society?
Thanks for your video. you make me love my hometown more. What did you discover in pleiku?
Kyle ..that's my city ..
cambodia is west*

Jim Nance, were u with the 39th med det in 1968, this is Norris, I think I served with u
After almost 50 years it looks so different but hey! That's a half century ago. Nice modern looking city.
A little different from when I was there in 1968. Where are the Lambretta's?
Pleiku is a jarai name
This is my countryside. Thanks for remind memories of my countryside 😉
